Happy Halloween :: Scarecrow Pinup

Celebrating Halloween by dressing up in a scarecrow mask and corset. Being both sexy and horrific at the same time. The mask is a custom hand-made prop and is modeled beautifully here. It was a lot of fun doing this shoot playing with the horror genre and applying different lighting setups to play with light and shadow both showing and hiding different aspects of the model and the mask.

Armed: Un-Concealed Carry - TBT

Tattoos, Guns, and Attitude. I've worked with Roxie several times and I haven't had the chance to share all her photos. So here I have an addition to my Throw Back Thursday posts. All the guns belong to her, are unloaded, and safe to pose with in the studio. No ammunition was even brought into the building to ensure safety for both of us. The series was a lot of fun to shoot and includes a lot of her favorite firearms and masks. The images below contain nudity and are NSFW

Card Guard - The Ace of Spades

As a continuation of my mask-making  hobby, here is the next edition. These are based on the idea of the card guard from the Alice madness video game. The suit of the card is embedded in the face of the skull making the eyes disappear within the design. The skull bikini is another of my creative builds for this session. I used two Halloween skull decorations with some creative manipulation and a special paint job to match them to the skull mask. I love the juxtaposition of the horror mask on a beautiful model. Thanks to Kat for helping me showcase this design.

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!!
Here's another of my hand-made masks. This one has a bit of a treat when you look closer at the eyes. It actually has a small tear-away mask on the larger mask revealing a bloody mess. I was inspired by a makeup done on pinterest and decided to try my hand at doing it better and more permanently.

Golden Goddess - Day of the Dead

Halloween is coming!!!
I have a hobby of making elaborate masks. This is one of my personal favorites. It features some common features in the Day of the Dead sugar skull masks, but I have put my own spin it. I have never seen a golden version in my research, so I took the liberty of creating one for myself.

The Red Sash featuring Mileah

A beautiful, sheer red sash from my prop kit made a beautiful addition to Mileah's session. After a few minutes, she pulled a mask from my collection and fell right into several great poses

Dia de los Muertos featuring Kahlan

Last year I created my own version of the Day of the Dead mask. Kahlan was kind enough to model it for me. It has lead me to create new and creative mask designs which will be featured in future sets as soon as I am able to arrange for models to wear them for new sessions.

Day of the Dead on Ice

I was intrigued by the idea of using ice as the theme rather than the classic Day of the Dead skull and flowers. I learned so much from assembling my first mask and applied that knowledge to this new design. I created a post on the making of my original mask as well as a session where it was worn by a beautiful model.

To begin the construction of this mask, I took a blank mask and supplied paint and flowers and lace to bring the idea into being. I treated the overall build as if I were applying makeup to a face. To accomplish this, I first applied a flesh tone with additional red pigments over the lips and cheeks. Once the flesh-tone was dry, I applied white and iridescent paint and allowed some of the base layer to show through mimicking the way makeup would be translucent once applied.

The concept of ice was my only plan before assembling this mask. I started painting the large snowflake which covers the forehead of the mask. I painted diamonds, teardrops, eye-shadow, and lipstick. The mouth was modeled after the teeth design on traditional Day of the Dead masks. I added gems to offer a 3-dimensional effect to the design. The white veil was attached first with hot-glue, and then stitched with needle and thread. The blue roses were attached in the same fashion. To further enhance the anonymity of the model, I attached lace within the eyes of the mask.

What better way to showcase this new creation than to have it modeled by a beautiful young woman. In addition to the mask, her wardrobe included white lace tied around her waist. A garter and white lace fan added a playful flourish during the photo shoot.
