Mileah's Red Dress

Why limit yourself to an indoor studio when there are countless outdoor locations? Mileah knew of this place just a short hike from the road and we had plenty of options for posing with different backgrounds.

The Parasol featuring Kahlan

Playing with lavender. Kahlan's lingerie matched the parasol in my prop kit perfectly. It makes a wonderful accessory and a beautiful cover-up for the more sensual poses. Playing with props adds a bit of whimsy to a boudoir photo session. After all, if you can't have fun with it, what good is it?

The Contender featuring Lacey

Initially I envisioned this as a breast cancer awareness set. I found these pink boxing gloves at a discount store and added them to my prop kit, and knew how I wanted to use them. Once the session started, it became a playful cover-up tease with a side of pinup.

Sheer Beauty featuring Mileah

I love how my prop kit can spark new ideas for the direction of a session. Although Mileah brought some of her own wardrobe, she was having a lot of fun digging through mine and jumping in with new ideas.

I have created so many DIY modifiers for my studio, I have even turned a prop into a useable light source. It was an old window from what may have been a loft. I built a lined box around the glass on one side keeping an opening just large enough for one speedlight and one is all it takes. Here Mileah's pose leads toward the ight source of this window and with the addition of a gridded speedlight above and to camera right it gives a very light separation between mileah's hair and the backdrop. But enough about how it was done, lets share some of the images of this setup.

Business Casual featuring Kahlan

Kahlan's new harlequin tattoo inspired this series. I pulled two satin neckties from my closet and created a double necktie knot design to accentuate her black and red diamond tattoo.

The Red Sash featuring Mileah

A beautiful, sheer red sash from my prop kit made a beautiful addition to Mileah's session. After a few minutes, she pulled a mask from my collection and fell right into several great poses

Dia de los Muertos featuring Kahlan

Last year I created my own version of the Day of the Dead mask. Kahlan was kind enough to model it for me. It has lead me to create new and creative mask designs which will be featured in future sets as soon as I am able to arrange for models to wear them for new sessions.

Happy Veteran's Day 2017

Happy Veteran's Day to all who have served
Lacey had a ball wearing camouflage with her playful salute and of course adorning herself with the flag. A very fun and playful session, shot a year ago but still  very much appropriate in its inappropriate-ness.
