F**K Cancer!!!

October is breast cancer awareness month!
The amazing Ophelia K was more than happy to help me bring this set together and fight the ongoing stigma around breast cancer. According to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States. There are over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. Please consider donating to this foundation.

Fierce and formidable. Don't mess with a girl in boxing gloves. She will take you down.

Introducing Ophelia K

I met Ophelia through Model Mayhem and arranged to shoot together. We quickly began testing out ideas in posing and props, moving from one to the next and getting beautiful results. We shot for about two hours in our first meeting and produced nearly 1200 images. I picked my favorites which narrowed it down to close to 500. From those I selected 150 which is harder than you may realize. I will be sharing many of those amazing images, but its going to take some time. Here's an introduction to the very beautiful Ophelia:

The Contender featuring Lacey

Initially I envisioned this as a breast cancer awareness set. I found these pink boxing gloves at a discount store and added them to my prop kit, and knew how I wanted to use them. Once the session started, it became a playful cover-up tease with a side of pinup.
